Serkon Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret Anonim Şirketi was founded in April 2000 by mechanical engineers İzzet SAVAŞ and Yılmaz BOLCAL, starting out in a 50 m² workshop in Bayrampaşa, Istanbul, producing manual fabric spreading machines only. After moving into automatic fabric spreaders, the company built a rising brand reputation — not only in Turkey but worldwide — on the advanced technology in its machines, a sales approach built around customer satisfaction, and the strategic weight it has given to R&D from its very first day. One concrete result of that R&D work came in 2009, when Serkon developed and manufactured Turkey’s first fully automatic CNC cutter. Since its foundation the company has engineered cutting-room solutions for sectors as varied as defence, furniture, automotive upholstery and healthcare; within the garment machinery industry it has specialised in fabric spreading, cutting and inspection machines, refining them year after year to become a preferred brand in both the domestic and international markets.

Today the company operates from the Deliklikaya Special Industrial Zone in Arnavutköy, Istanbul, manufacturing across 21,000 m² of covered floor space — bringing new machine technologies to both the Turkish and global markets and continuously developing new projects at its R&D centre.
