Serkon Makina took its place at Garmentech 2014, one of South Asia's most important garment technology gatherings. Held in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh — one of the world's largest ready-to-wear exporters — the fair connected global garment machinery manufacturers with the region's vast production base.
In Bangladesh, a key player in the global textile supply chain with ready-to-wear exports exceeding 30 billion dollars a year, Serkon introduced its automatic fabric cutting, spreading and inspection machines to the regional market. Our stand drew strong interest from Bangladeshi textile manufacturers and factory investors. While laying the groundwork for new partnerships, we had the chance to assess the region's rapidly growing production capacity and investment potential at first hand.
